Brine Tank Cleaning in Renovo, PA

Brine Tank Cleaning in Renovo, PA

Brine tank cleaning in Renovo, PA is the kind of job nobody thinks about until the softener stops working. Cheap salt, rock salt and pellets with binders leave insoluble grit at the bottom of the tank. Add humidity and you get salt mush, a thick sludge that clogs the brine well and the safety float.

When that happens, the softener can't pull brine during regeneration. The resin never recharges and hard water comes back, even with a tank full of salt.

Renovo, PA Water Softener Installation cleans the brine tank the right way:

• Put the softener in bypass
• Scoop out the old salt and drain the brine
• Remove the sludge layer and scrub the tank walls
• Pull and rinse the brine well, float and air check valve
• Inspect the grid plate if your tank has one
• Refill with clean water and high-purity salt

We then run a manual regeneration and watch the brine level drop to confirm the draw. Most homes only need this every couple of years, more often if you buy rock salt or the softener sits in a damp garage.
